Waterfall Necklace

November 3, 2013 by admin Leave a Comment

I was inspired by a couple of strands of beads to make this sea glass-inspired waterfall style necklace.

I always lay out my beads in advance, and take a picture of the idea – just in case I knock the whole thing onto the floor.

Using rolo chain as the base, I strung the beads together with six shorter strands and 9 longer strands, one of them having a larger focal point bead at the end.

These are how the shorter strands started out.

I attached each of the beaded chains with a jump ring, which itself had two small beads strung on either side of the strand.

And I finished off each strand with a wire-wrapped bead.  Here is how the final piece turned out.

About Sally Lynn MacDonald

Profile photo of adminSally Lynn often mixes her love of creating and teaching art with her high-tech side – blending a love of handmade art with hybrid-digital media in what she playfully calls her ‘studio lab’.
