One of my dearest friends has been seriously ill for the last 10 days or so. I had gladly picked up groceries and offered to get her prescription as well. But yesterday she called me to tell me that she had picked up her prescription and was feeling better. Yay!
She is one of those people who is ALWAYS doing something for others. She is very involved in at least two local groups and donates her time doing bookkeeping for one of them. She gives so much of herself. She is truly a role model. I'm humbled in her presence. I recently did face painting at a fundraiser event in town and it just seemed the least that I could do to lend my skills to the event's success.
So today I made a card inspired both by her charity and by her ability to grow things. Yet another skill she's got over me. *psst* I have a BLACK thumb when it comes to gardening, but I can color flowers!
I dropped of a new craft supply at her house along with the groceries and I'm hoping that she is feeling well enough to be making something right now.
I'm going to check in on her tomorrow and drop this by. I hope you can take a moment today to appreciate the wonderful people in your life too.
