*updated: All 12 tags are here now!*
Last year the incomparable Tim Holtz wowed the web community with a daily dose of 12 Tags of Christmas. The techniques were the same ones I have used over and over, but his style and composition just blew me away (as usual!). So I was inspired to make a class based on the theme of creating tag ARTWORK, rather than the usual technique-only tags that I have offered in the past.
I have always wanted my students to focus on technique – because I feel strongly that the pressure to make ‘art’ can sometimes take away from the learning experience but I know that many of them also wanted something pretty to take home with them. So voila! I got busy making my own versions. It was a lot of fun. And as I posted recently, I went on a treasure hunt to bring pretty accents to the tag artwork as well.
I am looking forward to teaching this new class in Pennsylvania this weekend. Hope to see you there!
Oh, and here are a few of the tags we will be making. You didn’t think I’d post and not show anything, did you?
Well, I’ve definitely stayed up wayyyyyyyyyy too late. So thanks for looking and I am going off to bed!
