A friend was just commenting on how she played with stuff last night and nothing turned out stellar. Oooh that can be very frustrating. But as I told her, and I truly believe that the attempt is what matters most. Always try to remember that! When I teach, I harp on my studettes that they cannot expect perfection the first time out. It is about learning and trying and stretching. But I agree – we WANT it to be just right the first time out.
I can usually see the end result in my head pretty clearly. It’s just GETTING THERE. They say it’s the journey…
For today it’s mixed media madness again. Lots of waiting for stuff to dry. That is my least favorite part of the process. I’m waaaaaay too impatient, but I know if I rush in I won’t get the result I want.
So I keep popping a load in the laundry and putting away dishes. I think lunch is next just so I step away and let this dang thing dry… must be the weather but I am in a MOOD and even petting the 'killer fluff' pup isn't doing it. Oh look, he's curled up like a little sheep right next to my chair.
Ok that is cute.
And I just did a Disney cuppy cake layout to get into a happy place. Nothing like Disney memories to do that. But sadly, cannot share layout until CHA reveals.
Wait for me? Now I'm making you wait too. Ahhh, it's all a process.
