Tattered Angels / Crafty Secrets March Mix Blog Hop

Good morning!  Today marks the beginning of the Tattered Angels / Crafty Secrets March Mix Blog Hop.  I have the pleasure of being part of the kick off group of ladies whose blogs you can visit today and throughout the week:

Heidi Blankenship (CS)
Pam Hooten (CS)
Sally Lynn MacDonald (TA) *yep, me!*
Vivian Peters (CS)
Michelle Van Etten (TA)

I invite you to see what the other design team members did with this challenge.  Each Monday during March we will be having a challenge between Crafty Secrets and Tattered Angels, so keep looking here and on the other blogs for new posts.  You can also check out the blogs for both companies:

Here is my first project to share for today.  I decorated vintage brass business card holders with images from the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Image Booklets.  A blank, open holder is shown on the right.  All images can be made larger by clicking on them.

I adhered and coated the top of the images with Matte Gel Medium.  Once dry, I sprayed with a light dusting of Bronze Glimmer Mist.  Aren't these images great?  It was very hard to pick which one I wanted to work with.  Just look at those little babies!

If you remember, back in December I made one of these as well, to use as a money holder from the Tooth Fairy for my littlest daughter.

There is more to come.  I still have to unpack my car.  And there was a bit of a development (of about 10 inches of snow so far) over night that is slowing down my progress!

So with that theme in mind – one appropriately themed card and then I'm out to shovel a path to the car.  I've got a few projects and materials inside that need to come inside for our snow day together.

The look on the child's face (from Crafty Secret's Vintage Christmas stamp set) matches my own look at the moment.  Ok, time to hoist the shovel…
