Oh, yes – this is such an inspiring form.  Don't you just want to make one???

I was clicking all over the internet tonight, looking for ways to represent geometric shapes in three dimensions for the short people in my house – and then I found this.  I'm feeling geometrically challenged — what is it? A dodecahedron?  I think that is the word for a 12-sided shape.  Typepad is letting that spelling pass, so I'll stick with it.  LOL!

Dang!  I want to make one!

I know this picture doesn't do it justice, but I saw a little animated gif that shows it flat, in a mailer, and then it pops up to 3D life!

How fun would this be for a little kid summer project?  So many surfaces for photos, or drawings…

Oh my heck – it would be really fun in one of those box-top style scrapbook pages, wouldn't it?!

Now I'm not going to get any sleep…
