US Art Quest Blog Hop – featuring the *new* PRILLS!

March 12, 2012 by admin 27 Comments

To celebrate the launch of US Art Quest's newest embellishment, Prills, they are hosting a blog hop!

Prills-frills_hop

If you’ve come here from Ann Krier's blog, then you’re in the right place. To start the hop from the beginning, please go to the US Art Quest blog.

If you like blog candy, this hop is for you! US Art Quest will pick one winner who will get six (6) colors of Prills! To enter, become a follower of each blog and leave a comment on each blog.

Winners will be picked on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at midnight EST, so be sure to enter before then.

Winners will be posted on the USArtQuest blog on Sunday, March 18, 2012.

My project is a domino-bead bracelet.

I took domino beads, you can make these yourself with a drill-press (or a handy friend), and sprayed them with Krylon's Gesso spray.

Then I painted the surface with Perfect Pigments Fluid Acrylic Paints in Purple Mist and Indian Red Hue.  I heat set these with an embossing heat tool.  Then I applied a coat of Yellow Ochre over the top.

Then I applied Perfect Paper Adhesive (PPA) in Matte finish to the edges randomly, and applied the Prills.  I used Taken for Granite and Plum Crazy.

Once strung onto stringing wire, with a few beads — and you've got a fun attention-getting bracelet!

The next stop on your blog hop is Joe Rotella's blog. Enjoy your hop and good luck!
