Deep breath… ok. Revealing some scale numbers to you

It's been nearly 7 months since I've been on this weight-loss journey.

The past month has been frustrating…weight loss had stalled a bit.  But even that being said, I still stuck to the plan and kept moving forward with my good habits now firmly in place.  Nothing can stop me now, kwim?

Today I achieved a goal that I honestly didn't think possible when this journey began.

So let me go back and reveal some numbers to you so all of this makes sense to you.

Deep breath… here goes.

I am 5' 11" tall.  Yes, I wear heels to scare people.  LOL.  And I constantly used the denial of saying to myself that I carried my weight well because I was tall.  Let me repeat DENIAL.  Because as of August 1st, 2012, my weight was:

312.

There.  I said it.  Google will now have this on record somewhere.

But you have to acknowlege the past in order to appreciate how far you've come.  And I believe in being fully accountable if I have any hope of inspiring someone else along the weigh…

So there it is.

But this morning my scale said the unfathomable.

ONEderland

Folks, this is known as entereing ONEderland in weight-loss parlance.

Freakin' happy dance going on here.

So I've lost 113.2 pounds so far.  Eek!  The average weight loss expected for a VSG procedure is 60% of excess body weight.  Since my goal is 170, my excess body weight was 142 pounds.  Yikes.  A whole person.  When I had my initial consultation with my doctors I was given an attainable goal of hitting 85 pounds loss.  I wasn't satisifed with that number and was determined to lose more and end up beating that number senseless.  As I've said before, AVERAGE means those that try hard and those that don't – all balled up into one number.  So I'm proud to say that I'm currently at 80%.  And I'm not stopping here.

Now I still have 28 lbs. to lose until I reach goal weight.  But I'm in ONEderland!!!!!!!!

There.  I said it.  That wasn't so hard.
