No, I don’t have a twin! I did Friday FaceScapes at Michaels in Brookfield this week and had a BLAST painting the kids; giving their Mom’s much needed shopping freedom. I very much appreciate Michael’s giving me this opportunity. Face Painting is tough to do during the cold, winter months — and having an inside venue is wonderful!
This is the first time I’ve painted a winter scene, and I started with Rudolph and then when it was slow-going, I got bored and added a snowman and Christmas Trees to the other side.
Painting oneself is NOT easy, but its a fun challenge. I figure if I can paint it backwards, on myself — surely I can paint it on someone else! Later in the day, I did just that. I painted an adorable little three-year-old girl as well as a couple other older kids. People saw them at Border’s Books, down the street and came to Michaels to get painted too. What fun!
Later that evening, I painted kids at a neighborhood holiday open house. Lots of Rudolphs, a snowman and some flower girls walked about that evening. It’s fun to give the smaller set something to do. I adore face painting, and little walking canvases!
I hope you have this much fun with your holiday decorating. I’m going to be wrapping up the family gifts tonight, before tomorrow nights’ elfing around. Happy Holidays to you!
