Today is definitely a March day. Blustery winds, rain splattering…but so much to smile about! We went 'puddle hunting' in the car this morning on the way to school since I wouldn't let the kids jump in at the bottom of the driveway. We'll save that for after school.
All that splattering around got me in the mind set to re-ink my Copic classroom sets. So I attacked all the lightest colors first and then spot-checked the other colors randomly. Wow, it was definitely time to reink. But they are now fabulously ready for a weekend of coloring on Long Island, NY. The certification class on Sunday, March 21st is pretty much full- maybe 1-2 seats unless the waiting list is being used. But there are still 3-4 seats in my Copic: What? How? & Wow!, Copic Airbrushing / Acrylic Album, and Glimmer Mist Techniques / Card Buffet classes on Saturday, March 20th. Contact cindys128@yahoo.com for more information.
Once I was done reinking, I sat down, now fully in the mood to color this sweet image from Stampavie, Looking Chic. She just is smiling through a blustery day. Such a sweet image! I added the sentiment 'smile' from my Stampendous stamp set, Doodle Wings. I love the curly qs on those sentiments.
And wouldn't you know it, but today is also the one year blogoversary at Copic Creations Challenge blog. So I thought I'd show off some basic techniques that have been covered so nicely there over the last year.
Here are all the colors I used on the image.
I did some basic challenges, such as skin, hair and coloring things that are white, black and red. I also made a sort of mulchy playground for her to walk upon and cast their shadows beneath the feet.
Hope you are having a great day, whatever the weather!
