Technique Junkies SEPTEMBER New Releases Blog Hop

Today marks the first day of September and a set of new stamp releases from Technique Junkies! The Technique Junkie Design Team has put together a blog hop showcasing all of the new designs for September. You should have started from the beginning of the hop: which is at http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com, and then gone to Pam DeChellis’ blog before arriving here.

Make sure and take a look at the new releases, the artful inspiration and enjoy 15% off the September releases from now through September 8th.

And here are two cards that I made using these stamps.

S652-S401web

For this card, I inked up the entire stamp with a combination of Distress Inks, using Iced Spruce and Evergreen Bough, applied randomly onto the stamp. I stamped the image and then immediately covered it with clear embossing powder. Once melted, it resisted ink in those locations. This allowed me to color the open areas of the stamp, which I did by spraying Art Anthology Grass and Fern Leaf Colorations onto the image. I blotted off the excess and let this dry completely.

I applied Ferrari Sorbet Paint with a needle nose applicator to the berry portions of the stamp.  Once that was completely dry, the S401 Jingle Bells music sheet stamp was stamped over the top in a silver ink to add another bit of interest and movemenet to the background.

A swirl stud embellishment was added to both corners and silver ink was used to edge the cardstock base.

For this card, I inked up the trunk and senter of the tree with Memento Luxe in Toffee Crunch, and the leaves and outer branches with Distress Ink Evergreen Bough and cut it out. I embellished the image further in a few ways. I applied Art Anthology Tink Sorbet paint to the pears with a small brush. I shaded the right side of the trunk using Copic markers, and added some detail lines to the partridge to make it more of a focal point.

I applied Art Anthology Imperial Sorbet paint through the Dot Matrix stencil to both sides of the card.

I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock with Stazon Midi Ganache colored ink.  I then edged the sentiment piece with the Distress Ink color I had utilized earlier.

A bit of decorative paper was cut and placed at the top and bottom of the card to frame it further.

I hope you enjoyed these stamples using the newest releases from Technique Junkies!
