This is a good face for making friends.

Today was a weird day.  It was full of tasks, things to do, kids to drop off, prescriptions to pickup, dry cleaning to drop off…  Not so much more than the usual day.  But throughout the morning I was haunted by the need to DO SOMETHING meaningful.  And last night I found out what that something was.  I read a fellow scrapper’s blog – and I could hear the quote from the kids’ movie, ‘Robots’, when the lead character says, ‘See a need.  Fill a need."  I saw one here.  Now I’m trying to fill it.  After talking to Anne and getting a heartfelt approval, I’ve enlisted the help of eight local scrapbook stores and asked local friends if they want to contribute.  I hope we can help a family in need.  If you would like to help, I will have the other blog that I’ve created and that is dedicated to that task able to accept donations sometime next week.  Thanks in advance.

So after setting things in motion there was a bit of stress – and I did what I always do – dived into creativity. Since I’m face painting in support of the Botsford Volunteer Fire Department tomorrow, I enlisted Cameron’s help. Here is what we made:Hpim6317web

Don’t you feel destressed now?  Well in Cameron’s words, ‘This is a good face for making friends’.  How sweet is that?

I’m not quite there yet – so Neil took the kids to the park and I went to TJ Maxx to find a bargain or two.  That was fun!  I cannot remember the last time I went clothing shopping without the kidoodles.

But still not quite to the totally destressed state yet.  Hmmmm, I’m going to go for option #2, takeout chinese food.  Neil wholeheartedly agrees that this, and option #3, the hot tub along with something on Tivo should do the trick.

Enjoy your weekend!
