I was feeling quite the Susy Homemaker this morning.  I made a roast chicken, did a load of laundry and dishes.    And then my homemaker confidence got the best of me.  I bit off more than anyone can chew.

You see my little guy was invited for a sleepover and my best friend offered to watch the girls tonight.  Finally Neil and I can do some Christmas shopping TOGETHER.  Woo Hoo!

And while the girls are over at her house they are going to decorate cookies.  So I offered to make up a batch of gingerbread men.  WHy WhY wHy did I double the recipe?  I've been batching portions of it into my Kitchenaid Mixer – which usually is a trooper — to the point of where I feel I could make a GIANT GINGY a la Shrek 2.  There is so much dough!

Martha – how do you do it?

I'm going to go play with some paper, ink and glue.  It's much safer territory.
