Hi!
Yes, indeedy I am back home from Tennessee. I got back home really early Monday morning. A little more sleep, and several loads of laundry later…
I have gotten a few worried e-mails while I was on the road, and I wanted to clear it up here. I had to switch things out last minute for my trip to L.A. this weekend due to a family emergency. The e-mail blast about the canceled Prima Master Classes that was sent out caused some concern, and I apologize for that! To clarify, my MIL received a scary diagnosis, and upon further testing and a surgery – she is on the mend. But my husband, understandably, wants to go visit Mom and make sure she is well and care for his parents. This necessitated my canceling the trip to Prima this weekend so I could stay home with the kids while he traveled. Thankfully, Marianne Walker was able to step in on my behalf to lead the Copic Certification class that will be taking place, as scheduled, on Sunday, April 26th.
Otherwise my FedEx packages are on the way back from Tennessee, and thankfully my large suitcase was delivered this morning (US Airways didn’t get it to New York at the same time as I arrived. LOL!)
And I want to express my sincere thanks to the students in Kingsport. The Copic students completely surprised me… I had mentioned at the beginning of the all-day session that I would have to be ending the session promptly on schedule at 4:00pm, since my flight was at 6:15pm and I needed to pack up.
Well we got done right on time, and I was conversing with several students leading up to the 4pm cutoff. When I finally turned around to assess the work ahead of me - to my sheer amazement – the students that were behind me had dismantled the airbrush systems, packed up all the pen sets and stamps and inks and it was all sitting on the back table, ready to go into the boxes. The stamps were already in the box. Just amazing. They saved me so much time and I am very grateful for their help!!! Thanks, ladies!! I was to the airport early, even had time for a quick meal. I was very touched by their thoughtful gesture. After such a great day, I could have floated home – my heart had wings. 🙂
So I'm home. MIL is recovering well. Kids are healthy. Kitchen was actually clean! (laughing at DH there). All around feeling blessed.
