Today I was inspired by Josie to think about grace and being gracious. Sometimes when we get so deep into a situation and start pulling apart all of the threads, we lose the pattern — or in this case discover one. So I reached for the Prima Artsy Stamp set #2 (850012) by Christina Renee, and began to color that little cherub, reaching. And I took a hint from the way it was packaged and let it reach for the butterfly.
I colored the cherub with the following Copic Markers:
Adding definition to the wings with E13, and then outlining those details with a Spica Glitter Pen in Lemon to really bring out the gold and sparkle.
And speaking of sparkle, do you see the subtle shimmer on the rest of the project? I couldn't resist spraying the entire thing with Glimmer Mist in Bronze. I think I captured it best in the picture above. Gosh, I love that product!
I added B23 and R39 to the mix for the butterfly. Also surrounding the image with a heart from a Say It in Studs silver shape set.
And BG05 for the letter 'g', but using BG49 for the portion that overlayed the transparency. Light colors tend to disappear on acrylic and transparency – especially against a dark background.
I love how transparent the colors are!
The large butterfly was cut and embossed using the new Butterfly Nestabilities set from Spellbinders.
