I am blessed. I know it. I feel it every day in my life. Even when that little voice brings darker thoughts, I can always kick it out with the basic knowledge and belief that no matter what LIFE IS GOOD.
So when I read about the suicide of a young softball star, Brianne Matthews, I was struck at her mother's assertion as to the 'why?'. She said, "no answer was going to be good enough." And this one statement boils down to what I am constantly asserting to my children – that life is good. Nothing is bad enough that it cannot be changed or the path made smoother by the love of your family and friends.
This chart I saw on Facebook and immediately made a background on my cell phone. Then I showed it to the kids. I told them, it is that simple. I believe this with all my heart.
So today's card embodies the message. Look up. There is always something there to look forward to. Don't give up on life. It is a precious gift. I couldn't embody that feeling any better than Mo Manning has with this stamp from Stampavie, 'Soaking Up The Joy'.
I'm going to continue soaking up a weekend full of rain and kids playing indoors. Hugs to all. See you on Monday.
