COPIC: Blogiversary – Bring on the Bling!!!

*comments are closed*  Winner will be 'drawn' tomorrow!

Ah, Summer.  The pool water is sparkling.  The flowers are in full bloom.  There is magic in the air.  Between camping, a waterpark, playdates and the first trip to the town pool/park for the season – we have had a shining happy Memorial Day weekend.

So what better way to start the work week, but with a fantastic Copic giveaway?

Not to mess with Beyonce's lyrics too much – but when it comes to paper crafting, "If you liked it then you shoulda put some bling on it."

So how do you like this sparkle?  Click on the picture for a closer look.  I think these pens are amazing!

The Copic Atyou Spica glitter pens are so great to work with, not only for cards, but scrapbooking projects as well.  They are archival, acid-free and lightfast pigments with transparent color and micro glass-flakes.

You can never really capture their subtle sparkle on a computer, but I've done my best here.  I outlined the leaves and flowers, as well as their more detailed areas in a couple of different colors.  I love the subtlety of these pens.  The end result is so elegant and pretty in stark contrast to some of the glittered papers I've seen on the market recently.  So it is really wonderful to be able to enhance either your own stamped designs or the design of a patterned paper with these pens.

Currently they are available in 12 colors and a clear, but be on the lookout for 11 more colors this week.

Marianne told me that the word "Atyou" is kind of like "Wow!" or "Oh!"  and that "Spica" is the name of one of the stars in the constellation of Virgo. So in a sense it is translated as "Wow! Stars!".
