We spent the morning taking classes so that we can make the most of the wonderful things we have at momento and learning new techniques to teach as well.
Ellen attended a class with Art Glitter, using their regular and glass glitter, fantasy film and foil to make samples for the store. Here is a picture for a preview. They are so much more in person. And the elemental embellishments smell like tea, jasmine, lavender – can you imagine? It’s like aromatherapy sent along with your greeting card… Sorry the blog is not ‘scratch and sniff’ – enabled. LOL!

I spent the morning taking a class with Ranger, making jewelry that is so creative, fun and easy to make. With no knowledge of jewelry-making, you can make personalized bracelets, pendants, mem-wearables (that’s my new goofy term for jewelry with photographs) and more! Robin Beam and Suze Weinburg were inspiring to say the least. And imagine having Claudine Hellmuth as a helper in your classroom? Need I say more? It was a very creative and inspiring class. I really like the findings we used. They are from Amate International. They are similar to the Nunn Design pieces I’ve seen but they have more unique shapes to offer as well. Definitely worth further investigation when the show floor opens tomorrow.
Otherwise we have attended a couple of seminars on business topics, digital photography and scrapbooking and a demonstration by Copic Marker.
I have become a HUGE FAN of Copic Markers Sketch Markers and air-brushing system. As someone who never felt I could color anything with markers – I gotta tell you — this is love. I’ve got a crush on Copic.
I’m attending an evening soiree with SEI tonight. It will be interesting to see what they have new this year. I haven’t been a fan for a couple of years, but I always have an open mind. I did like their papers for the little baby girl’s first year lunchbox I made a while back.
Ok, I have to go out to grab a quick dinner before the evening’s events.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more blogging from the show!
