It may have started off at 30 degrees this morning, but by 11am it was 64 degrees. Ah, Spring! Seriously, even the birds were tweeting outside this morning.
I suppose this should get me in a Spring Cleaning mood. NOT!! But I did put my own laundry away, organized the drawers in my dresser, tossed two things and put several more in the bag to donate. Started a load of laundry and ran the dishwasher. enough…!
So now I can reward myself with a little coloring.
I decided to make a thank you card for a friend. But at the same time it was a 'Thank you for leaving, Winter, and not being very hard on us this year'. I was inspired to use this adorable stamp, Siku and Shiya, by Mo Manning for Stampavie. I see the boy as Winter and the girl as Spring, doing a little eskimo kiss in greeting.
Aren't they sweet?
I used the following colors from my Copic Markers to color them:
Boy:
- YG23/YG25/YG63/YG67
- B21/B93/B95/B97
- E51/E31/E13
- Teensy bit of E53 in the fur and trim, blended out with C00/C1
- C1/C3 for shoe bottoms
Girl:
- RV21/RV32/RV34
- B21/B93/B95/B97
- R85/R89
- E51/E31/E13
- Teensy bit of RV21 in the fur trim, blended out with C00/C1
- C1/C3 for shoe bottoms
Sky: B0000/B01
Snow: C00/C1/C3/C5 for shadows
Spellbinders Labels Eight was used to diecut and emboss the focal point image.
Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed the card as much as I enjoyed coloring it.
Hmmm. I may even sweep and vacuum. Call the paramedics, my husband may collapse from this sudden spurt of housework. *pick up the paddles and yell, CLEAR!*
