Today marks the first day of July and a set of new stamp releases from Technique Junkies! The Technique Junkie Design Team has put together a blog hop showcasing all of the new designs for July. Among the July releases are two new designs in my Palettini line of stamps:
Make sure and take a look at the new releases, the artful inspiration and enjoy 15% off the July releases from now through July 8th.
First up, the PS009 Shells set of 4 stamps. It contains three realistic shell stamp images and a sentiment. These stamp images are created from pencil sketches of shells collected on family summer vacations. They are so much fun to use. I made several cards for you to enjoy!
This card was created by stamping the images onto printed cardstock, with Stazon Midi in Ganache. I then inked up the small shell with Versamark, cut it out and brushed three colors of Perfect Pearls powders over the top. I then used a stylus to emboss the shell along the ribbing lines to define them further.
For this card, I inked up the stamps with a light ink, such as Memento Lulu Lavender and added Faber Castell Gelatos in Elderberry, Snow Cone and Lavender. I spritzed the stamp lightly to activate the Gelatos and allow it to transfer upon stamping. I cut out the images and edged them with a bit of Memento Desert Sand.
For the background, I sprayed over the Art Anthology Honeycomb stencil with Colorations sprays in Plush, Grass and Waimea Bay.
I stamped the sentiment with Memento London Fog, and colored in the word ‘sand’ with a clear Wink of Stella marker.
This monochromatic card design utilizes Memento Luxe Olive Grove for the stamped images and edges. I stamped a second generation inking of P027 Paid in Full, and then stamped the smaller shell over the top. I cut out this 1 1/2″ square for the shell and inked the edges. Then I flipped it over to mask the sentiment as I placed the Art Anthology Dot Matrix Stencil over the entire background and sprayed it with Art Anthology Colorations in Fern Leaf.
Another cleaner design using this stamp set. This time, I tore two pieces of paper and placed them over the top and bottom of the card front, leaving the middle exposed. I stamped the largest shell in Memento Luxe Nautical Blue in a first and second generation image. Then I stamped the P014 Vintage Ship Collage stamp in Memento London Fog over the top of the image. I then sprayed Art Anthology Colorations in Lark (blue), before removing the masking paper. I stamped the sentiment in matching ink at bottom right.
Now let’s move on to the PS007 Botanical Bee stamp set. This set of 5 stamps has a wonderfully detailed bee, and four sentiments.
On the first card, I used the large bee image to make a patterned paper background for this monochromatic card.
I then stamped the sentiment and placed it over a small ribbon pennant strip. This stamp fits very nicely together to make repeating images.
For the second card, I made another monochromatic look. First I stamped P027 Paid in Full background in Memento Luxe Olive Grove. Then I stamped the large bee in Memento Luxe Ivy Cottage, over the top. I stamped Travel Documents and a sentiment from the set to complete the card. And added a flower and ribbon embellishment to the bottom.
Last up is a colorful tag. I stamped the image in Ranger Archival Black ink and painted the wings with Art Anthology Tink Sorbet and Aloha Velvet paints. I painted the yellow stripes with Velvet in Mayan Gold. I masked the image using its own release paper and placed the honeycomb stencil over the top. I sprayed over this with Art Anthology Colorations in Glorious (yellow) and Juicy (orange). I sprayed these over a piece of scrap cardstock at the same time and set it aside for the sentiment. I put the stencil over both top and bottom corners and applied Art Anthology Sorbet paint in Tiger Eye (copper gold) dimensional paint. Once I had placed the sentiment onto the tag with foam tape, I added a few black swirl embellishments and some ribbon to finish the tag.
I hope you enjoyed these stamples using the newest Palettini releases from Technique Junkies!
