The new Alphabet Frames are to die for. And I really enjoyed mixing them with the coordinating Glimmer Chips – Regal (rouge pink) to create this elegant layered monogram for a layout of my grandmother, Mabel.
This layout uses two of my new favorite colors of Glimmer Mist. Yes, every color is an instant favorite. I agree! The two I used here are Dew Drop and Cherry Blossom, which has a hint of irridescence to it. Gorgeous!
The embossed shapes were burnished over the top with this fabulous ink from Quick Quotes called Powder Puffs (I used Midnight Confession).
And then I was using the wonderful new stamp sets that are debuting at CHA, and created a new technique I like to call Glimmer Lifting. Basically, you spray your Glimmer Mist onto the paper and then apply a clean stamp over the top. Lift it off, and it removes the Glimmer Mist only where the stamp touched the paper. It creates a detailed watermark image, surrounded by Glimmer Mist. Subtle and beautiful. Clean the stamp between each impression for the best results.
I'll post another layout tonight. Type to you soon!
