My artwork in the CHA booth for Spellbinders

Here is my Knock Out.  Isn’t this picture a hoot?

I had never thought about ‘doodling’ through the stencils before – but now I’ve created my own monster.  I could not IMAGINE doing that kind of detailed penwork on the doodle parts otherwise.  It was a BREEZE!

I’ve uploaded it ‘pre journaling’, as I do with all my layouts for privacy.  Hope you don’t mind.  I put my journaling in the small rectangle to the left of the picture and the date in the upper right bordered rectangle.

Oh I like this one.  I hope you do too!  I did a background with Copic airbrushing, on a clear heat embossing resist.  I used Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink overall, and that seemed to help with the resist.  What fun!!

This was too much fun to make!!! (those are always the ones that I hate to give away…).  I know.  I know.  I hate to give any of them away!  I cut pieces of upholstery samples (from my local store’s discarded sample books) and used the Reflections technique to have them point either way.

Something very special to note about this layout.  My copy here at home has journaling added by my husband.  He wrote a poem!

"Young girl to young lady

bare feet to heeled shoes

life’s options before me

so many to choose."

Yes, he’s a keeper.

Oooooh baby.  I used a TON of product on this.  I know, you’re saying, ‘um yes, you did’.  I hope it isn’t too much!  I was having fun!!  Just look how that butterfly matches my oldest daughter’s face painting.  You would have thought I had planned it that way!

I love face-painting.  There is nothing like a smiling, walking little canvas…

And one final layout.  Literally made this the day I was leaving on that jet plane.  But I wanted to do ‘just one more’, since I had this unfinished layout calling my name.  If you look closely you can see Mica over the title plaque and also spilling out of the teapots and cups!
