6 year old boy scouts are to blame. I thought my tags for a winter recipe swap were finished (my recipe is for a favorite – Apple Butternut Squash soup), and those darn boy scouts got me thinking outside the box. The boys were decorating little graham crackers as sleeping bags and Necco wafers for their heads… for this glorious cake for their den.
And suddenly that evening inspiration struck. Binder disks became soup bowls, filled with Sepia Glossy Accents (soup) and then I bent silver mini-brads and removed one prong (spoons).
Here is the whole tag.
I used:
-
Basic Grey Fruitcake, Stained Glass/Orange Peel print
-
Heidi Swapp snowflake mask
-
Butterscotch Color Wash by Ranger
-
Tropicana Alphabet Stamp set (SOUP)
-
Apple Stamp by Great American Stamp Store
-
Sepia Glossy Accents by Ranger
-
Pewter Binder Discs (Rollabind)
-
Silver mini-brad
-
Star clipiola by Creative Impressions
And now I’m waiting for the soup to be finished so I can mail them. Is it soup yet? Well, actually it is still too much like soup. Needs to harden a bit more. LOL!
