DLP Challenges: Week 2 (catching up)

I'm playing catchup on the Documented Life Project.  The challenge for Week 2 is here if you are new to this process or want to play along.

January 5 Challenge (Week Two) – include a selfie in your planner; incorporate your 'One Little Word' for the year (optional).

Here is the page that I created for this challenge.

My one little word for the year is TRANSCEND.

I printed the definition for my word from a Google search, and a picture taken during the week of the CHA trade show; which occurred during week 2.  I attached both to the 140lb. watercolor paper with decorative tapes.

I masked off the sections and used spray inks as the first layer, using a Peacock, Sage Green and Coral color.

I painted a flower in the lower right hand corner, using Maya Gold paints from Viva Decor and a green marker from Faber Castell for the leaves.

I wrote a mini-message to myself using a metallic purple marker from Faber Castell, highlighting the words with a white Montana paint pen.

I attached some sheer decorative tissues over the top of my project and framed out the definition with a combination of Faber-Castell Gelatos.

Lastly, I put a little bit of 'bling' on the page, on top of the sheer collaged tissue circles and wings to help me lift off. 🙂

Unlike the scrapbook, here I am.  Hey kids, I do exist in picture form!  I like including the 'selfie' with my word.  Makes me feel even more accountable to its meaning in my life for this year.

Are you playing along yet?
