I just made this layout on Saturday during my LSS NSD weekend crop. I love these photos and the family tradition they represent.
It’s a double-page layout, so if you want to click on it, you’ll get a better view.
I was really happy to find a fun ledger paper from Jenni Bowlin Studio that matches the Cosmo Cricket Gretel line so nicely.
This layout started out very linear, which is not typically my style – so of course I like it all the more, right?
But I had to add my usual components of a Hambly transparency and I used the backside of a KI Lace Paper (apples) which I colored with Distress Inks, because it was far too maroon on the right side to suit my layout. I put these under my title, which is chipboard from Cosmo Cricket and glitter letter stickers from GCD Studios.
Then for one last touch, I outlined one apple with Glossy Accents, over the center of the title. I used a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the chipboard letters (which were more cherry red) and around the edges of the papers to bring them all together and some brown rubon flourishes too.
Even though Spring is quite lovely this year, Autumn is one of my favorite seasons, and in Connecticut, glorious! Thanks for looking.
