oh Anne. I'm so sorry :( I wish I had a magic wand that could make it all better.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deut 31:6

Tammy

I keep coming back to reread your blog, because I didn't know what to say, but I wanted to comment. You said that you are worried that you are not qualified to make these big decisions, but you are. You are her mom. You know her and love her best and you will do the right thing. In all of the pictures you post of Margaret and your boys, they are smiling happy children. You see that in their faces and that comes from being secure in the love of their parents. You can only do your best and it seems like you are certainly doing that. Just keep doing what you feel in your heart to be right and it will be.
As for the fundraising for the better known diseases, that is a tough one. I have a nephew with a rare genetic disorder. When I talk about it, people are amazed that it is even a real disease. They think it is a made up disease for television and movies. But my brother and SIL just keep plugging a long and hoping that research and funding for other childhood diseases will trickle down and lead to breakthroughs for their child. Sometimes, all you can do is pray and have strength. I know it doesn't help to ease the daily stuff, but please know that even if you aren't pulling in the huge donations, Margaret is in the thoughts and prayers of people all over.
