The Original Scrapbox – now even better! AND A PRIZE

January 16, 2009 by admin 124 Comments

Update!  Leave a comment on this post about how much you LOVE or WANT a Scrapbox and be entered into a drawing for one of THIRTY ScrapMaBob's!  Such a great cupholder and scraps keeper all in one (a $20 value).  I will do a random integer drawing on MONDAY evening at midnight.  Good luck!!!  (and thanks, Glenn!)

Web_ScrapMaBob

If you remember back in November, I was having a pretty good birthday weekend.  I spent an evening assembling my new Original Scrapbox Minibox and started filling it up.  As I was doing this, I noticed that the swinging interior door panels (that have velcro packets on the inside) were blank on the outer edge.  I looked inside when one side was closed, and saw that there was definitely some room there to store low profile items.

Soon thereafter I called Glenn at www.theoriginalscrapbox.com and one good idea met another.  They held an immediate brainstorming session and the result is:

SmARTpanelsweb

MiniWhiteBoardwebOriginalWhiteBoardweb

The interior edge of the swinging doors will have a magnetic whiteboard.

This surface is perfect for storing low profile dies, such as those by Spellbinders.  The magnetics are strong enough to hold a full set of Nestabilities.

This option should be available in March 2009.

On the full size Original Scrapbox, the space I utilized would have been the storage area for the folding tabletop.  When the Minibox was invented, the essence of the design remained the same.  But the area for stowing folding table top was no longer needed.  This is what I took advantage of.  Realizing this, they have done the same thing for the Original Scrapbox as well, on the upper portion of the panels.  This area is also free for storing your low profile tools on a magnetic whiteboard surface.

So the already amazing Scrapbox is now even better!  Please make sure to visit The Original Scrapbox at CHA Winter in Anaheim.  And tell them Sally Lynn sent you! 🙂

I wouldn’t think there would be anyone who would not want a Scrapbox! I live with my middle son and his family and care for two little grandchildren during the day. Me, my desk and computer for work and my card-making/scrapping supplies are confined to one fairly large bedroom. I would LOVE to have a Scrapbox!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my scrapbox. I got is as a gift for my birthday/Christmas/Valentine’s Day/Arbor Day/Easter/(you get the meaning). My DH put it together for me too!! When I open it I say “I’m goin’ in”. It reminds us all of the Wardrobe in the Chronicles of Narnia. I’d love to see how other people organized their scrapbox to see if mine needs fine tuning on the rearranging of my stuff.

But I just can’t decide to spend that kind of money and then only to outgrow it in time. Decisions, decisions! But, it looks like such an awesome item to have especially if one were in a very small or cramped place, this would be the perfect solution! Thanks for the opportunity to win a ScrapMaBob! I don’t like to look at whatever I have stored and stacked when I walk into a room or a space. I like the look of nice closed cabinet doors! The scrapbox is something that would make my scrapping space so much more peaceful and relaxing for me. I always feel a little tension walking in and seeing all my containers of stuff here and there. It’s organized…but I would rather be able to close the door and not see any of that! Love the Scrapbox. I don’t have one but I’m definately checking into them. My extremely disorganized scrapbook areas (plural because there’s a little here, and a little there, LOL) would love to be adorned by Scrapbox products. Love your blog. Very informative.

Scrapbox is on my wishlist. Though I’m afraid my floor looms might get a bit jealous as they are used to being the biggest thing in the room! – lol!
Love your idea for the addition of the mag panels. great for putting up design ideas too while in process.
Even the mini would be a blessing. My only question. Once you’ve got it open and in use do you really close it up each time you’re done? I bet you can guess my answer 🙂

    Sally Lynn,
What a brilliant idea! You know what amazes me about you and this idea the most? The rest of us would’ve thought it was a good idea, made modifications to our own Scrapbox and blogged about how others could do this. You, you phone up the owner of Scrapbox and tell them about it and the next thing we know, it’s a product!
I have drooled over the Original Scrapbox since seeing it in person here in the UK two years ago at Stitches. How brilliant would it be for me to be able to organise everything in one cupboard and be able to find it when I need it. Now, where did I put my Inkssentials White Pens?…

Hello from over the big pond!
Why i need a freebie, well i have only got a wardrobe with a couple of shelves in to craft from, as a desk-cum-workspace-cum-storage area, its a mini craft room and i have to sit up to them in my wheelchair, i think the idea of a fasten on holder is right for me becaause i have so little space that i would not have to worry about knocking over a drink onto all my hard work!

Sheet music #collaged into the resin says 'Cresc. molto' which roughly translated means 'growing a lot' and has become my talisman and phrase for 2020.
