Technique Junkies FEBRUARY New Releases Blog Hop

February 1, 2016 by admin 4 Comments

Today marks the first day of February and a set of new stamp releases from Technique Junkies! The Technique Junkies Design Team has put together a blog hop showcasing all of the new designs for February. You should have started from the beginning of the hop: which is at http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com. The blog before mine is, Karen McAlpine at http://dreamingncreating.blogspot.com. Make sure to check out her work!

Make sure and take a look at the new releases, the artful inspiration and enjoy 15% off the February releases from now through February 8th.

Here are the stamps I am featuring from my Palettini line of new releases this month!

P034 London Eye

P031 Le Tour Eiffel

P032 Hats Off

PS012 Vintage Travel Cases, set of 5

PS013 Oh Snap!, set of 7

And here are some projects that I made using these stamps.

2016-01-21 00.19.24

I used the London Eye stamp for the background in black ink, and then placed the Art Anthology Mechanical stencil, over the top; using Buttercream Sorbet and Sandcastle Colorations spray / Marlin Colorations Spray over the background. The suitcase comes from Vintage Travel Cases, and the sentiment is from Oh Snap!

2016-01-21 00.20.41

I stamped the background stamp, Le Tour Eiffel in London Fog (Gray) ink. The couple and sentiment are stamped in black ink, from Vintage Travel Cases. The background was sprayed with colorations in Plush and Siesta Key. I added a smudged line of graphite pencil along one edge of the tower. The rest is colored with Copic Markers.

2016-01-21 06.25.09

The final card is simply designed, but takes advantage of the detailed background image from Hats Off! The image is stamped in black ink and edged with brown and gold ink. I then ‘kissed’ the image with Wasted in creamy brown ink.  The gear is painted with Gold Metal Effects. A strip of washi tape finishes the card.

I hope you enjoyed these stamples using the newest releases from Technique Junkies!

The blog hop roll is below. If you haven’t done so, I encourage you to start at the beginning. Next up is Marilyn Hughes at http://DollsEtc.blogspot.com.  Enjoy!

Oh, wow! I loved the first card… and then I scrolled down. I couldn’t pick a favorite if I had to ’cause I think they are all great. Your work is an inspiration to me.

About Sally Lynn MacDonald

Profile photo of adminSally Lynn often mixes her love of creating and teaching art with her high-tech side – blending a love of handmade art with hybrid-digital media in what she playfully calls her ‘studio lab’. Every now and then her large-format printer is subjected to printing on a surface that definitely is not listed in the owners’ manual.

She is a maven for studio organization, using her abilities to use spreadsheets and databases to bring order from chaos. “It’s marvelous when the right and left brain actually work together in the studio!” Read More…

Instagram post 2191587425254464406_392177945 I finished my #resin #necklace, which started with a @gelpress print in the bright #copper #bezel from @ranger_ink and ended up including a wing element that my Mother-in-law gave me over the Thanksgiving holiday from a broken necklace. Sheet music #collaged into the resin says 'Cresc. molto' which roughly translated means 'growing a lot' and has become my talisman and phrase for 2020. Do you have a word or phrase for the coming year that helps guide your goals and dreams?
