More Holiday Greeting Cards

Rock on!

Prima's Dude collection is Rockin'.  And with just a little work you too can have a card that is rockin' all the way around the Christmas tree.  A little pen detailing and some fun epoxy stickers set the scene.  Finish it off with a bit of Stickles glitter glue, dotted onto the tree for ornaments.

Dig Deeper

The upper elevations are getting some of that fluffy white stuff on the ground.  At least that is the case here in Connecticut.  If Mother Nature wants to sprinkle on some embellishments, why not elevate your own card designs with a few pretty details?

Starting with papers from the Harmony collection, in blue, I added a transparency with cream numbers (as in how much snow is falling?) and the Times Alpha Chipboard letters.  A swirl of Say It In Crystals offsets the background, along with a single cut out frame from Ivory Voila ribbon.  A few snowflake accents and Glimmer Mist in Frost Blue finish off this sparkling winter card.

Get Hooked

Card making is so much fun!  And with some scraps of paper, the Roundabout pattern from Prima's Dude collection became holiday ornaments for this merry and bright card.

With a little creative tearing, trimming and inking – our 'tree' is trimmed.  Each of the ornaments is topped off with a coordinating epoxy sticker, and a little bit of Say It In Swirls crystals to get you hooked on the idea of making your own holiday cards.

Put your own scraps to work.  A little paper and creativity and you can have some one-of-a-kind cards to send to those that will appreciate your crafty efforts.

Go Sparkle.

About Sally Lynn MacDonald

Profile photo of adminSally Lynn often mixes her love of creating and teaching art with her high-tech side – blending a love of handmade art with hybrid-digital media in what she playfully calls her ‘studio lab’. Every now and then her large-format printer is subjected to printing on a surface that definitely is not listed in the owners’ manual.

She is a maven for studio organization, using her abilities to use spreadsheets and databases to bring order from chaos. “It’s marvelous when the right and left brain actually work together in the studio!” Read More…

Instagram post 2191587425254464406_392177945 I finished my #resin #necklace, which started with a @gelpress print in the bright #copper #bezel from @ranger_ink and ended up including a wing element that my Mother-in-law gave me over the Thanksgiving holiday from a broken necklace. Sheet music #collaged into the resin says 'Cresc. molto' which roughly translated means 'growing a lot' and has become my talisman and phrase for 2020. Do you have a word or phrase for the coming year that helps guide your goals and dreams?
