I'm playing catchup on the Documented Life Project. The challenge for Week 3 is here if you are new to this process or want to play along.
January 12 Challenge (Week Three) – include an envelope on your project.
Here is the page that I created for this challenge.
I put two quotes on the page. One is:
"Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History"
And inside the envelope, it says:
"I am currently unsupervised. The possibilities are endless!!" – from a stamp set by Dyan Reaveley.
I used a ledger paper with a resist design on it, and collaged, painted stamped and inked around the edges.
Then I took apart a corrugated black envelope with a clear window and attached it to the page both with some 3-in-1 adhesive from Beacon and a little washi tape, just for fun. Inside of this I place a small pieces of painted canvas with a metal frame on it. Over this, I attached the interior quote. Finally, I brushed a little white chalkboard paint marker over the textured envelope.
I adhered a transparency with a gold foiled design over the window opening in the envelope.
Lastly, I put a little bit of 'bling' on the page, in the form of a small pewter heart charm, hanging from the envelope string.
I'm getting caught up! Are you playing along yet?
